Fitted new rear Ohlins to my 06 ! & fitted asv levers ! No pics yet. All fitted now & out for first ride of the year
You know you've not used your bike in too long when you go to move it for the first time this year after the clocks went forward last week and the clock is still right
Got the oil, filter, brake fluid changed. Cleaned the air filter and blew up the tyres. Fitted the GB Racing covers and (after getting some new heat shield tape) swapped the exhaust cap to the carbon one I got from @1000rr73 back end of last year. Looks good (IMHO) with the carbon hugger and carbon tail piece.
After many, many months of hibernation, 6 months and 20 days to be exact (also from the forum) I finally got the cover off and the bike out ready to take for a service on Monday. For some reason i still have no itch to ride though :~( Anyone else missing the buzz to get back out there?
I went into the garage and looked at mine this weekend while the rain danced on the garage roof. Not a fan of pot holes or rain.
had a email today from Yamaha Europe inviting me to a YRE day in Italy mid July free track day ...one nights accomadation and a gala dinner with the Yamaha wsbk riders and they will also be on track right reasult can't wait should be sunshine and no pot holes.....great customer service ...going full Dainese all the gear and no idea!
I finally bought one of these tyre changer gizmos. This one is from Constands sold by Motea. There are other versions available like the max2h etc but settled on this as it was cheap. Now it's a doddle changing tyres and should save me money in the long run as my dealer are charging £35 a loose wheel to fit tyres.
How much did that cost if you don’t mind me asking ? I did my front tyre with zip-ties but my hands ached for a couple days after. The rear I did with tyre levers. Wasn’t so bad, but the Bridgestones have quite stiff sidewalls compared to other makes so it was a bit of effort.
That’s not bad for an all in one unit. I paid about £40 for the balancer (cheap nasty Chinese stuff from M&P) and about £20 for the levers. But I do have to break beads with a long piece of 2x4 and the jacking point of my car
