I was up around Ribble head and Settle area today, was perfect. Didn't take any pic's, couldn't be arsed cause I was enjoying the ride
Think it was more down to the rider not the bike, been out of sorts last couple of weeks and probably had a knock on effect, well I hope that’s what it was anyhow
Went for a gentle bimble with thw missus on the back. Fair few spots where tractors had left mud on the road, and got this helmet adornment from one which had just pulled out of a field. Luckily saw it coming towards me and put my head down, otherwise would have smacked me in the visor! Cue jokes about brown lumps on my helmet
Out for the first proper ride (went out for 20 minutes yesterday just to check everything was as it should be after my servicing and odd jobs lust) of the season this morning round Cheshire. Bloomin loved it but noticed plod out in numbers with their cash collector vans. I guess a lot will be out for first rides and they bag plenty with fines on a day like today.
Ended up in Southport (no change there) and saw this blast from the past. Being of an age I can remember when everyone wanted or had a 350LC.
MCN used to regularly have the 350LC as a prize in that stupid spot the ball competition, i was always convinced i was going to win but never did must of spent hundreds of £s in entry fees.
A run up to my Daughters to drop of a helmet off then up to Settle past the Ribblehead Viaduct. A brew @ the Naked Man cafe (yes its real) then back the same way because its a brilliant bit of road with no cameras
Yeah been to the cycle shop too. Good chippy that in Ashbourne but last time I went it was closed so had a sausage roll from across the road
