Hope someone can help I got a 2006 blade when I try to start it it’s like the battery is flat (turns over slown like it’s struggling) The battery is fully charged and getting a reading of 12v off the battery I’ve put jump pack on and it’s still the same ♂️ any idea’s people
Maybe a bad earth. Add another from the battery to the engine somewhere (use a jumper cable) and see if that helps. Btw 12.0v technically is a flat battery.
My 05 doesn’t exactly whip the engine over from the starter motor. It’s slower than I’d like but consistent till she fires. It used to concern me but nowadays I’m used to it. It’s been this way for 3 years. Are you able to actually start her ? Can you hear the fuel pump priming ? If the bike is running what voltages are you getting at over 3k rpm ?
She won’t fire up off the button fuel pump primes and I can bump start it I’ve got a video but don’t know how to upload it ♂️
A healthy battery needs to be a minimum 12.6v and the 06/07 are lazy starters , they sound like there not turning over fast enough. My battery is 9 year's old and still fire's up every time . Yuasa battery
It’s just over 12v when I hit the button the volt meter reads 5v and it turn over mega slow when u let go of the button battery jumps bk to 12.2
If the earth from your battery to your frame/engine is bad, connecting your bikes battery to the national grid would not even help.
That voltage drop to 5V is way too low. I think though I stand to be corrected, that it only should drop a volt or two. Strange that a booster pack and jumping from a car battery had the same results.
I know that’s why I said nice one I never thought of doing that with the extra earth from the battery I’m no bike wiz that’s why I’m on here asking ppl for help ♂️
Not criticising, just making sure you understood what I meant. I want you to help fix it. Btw what’s your location? Maybe someone nearby can lend a hand.
man I’m glad for any help I can get only had the bike a week and this happens I’m West Midlands cradley heath b64
Prove you have good clean earthing with your meter. Check battery posts are secure. Take your bike battery out of the equation. Connect directly to the car jump leads. Just don’t start the car.
All sorted lads it was a bad earth really appreciate the help Your input really helped me out and saved me money #topmen
