I tongue-in-cheek offered my blade to a colleague at work at a lowball price a few weeks ago. Now he says he wants it and has the cash in his hand. I can still decide not to sell it, but I think I will let it go and get a brand new bike. I’m gonna test ride a Speed Triple RS on Monday but probably I’m more interested in the new 765RS which seems like a hoot for the road and good enough for inters on the track. Talk me out of it.
Ha! You’ll have to make that decision all by yourself or you’ll be forever wondering if you should have listened to advice or not. Go with your heart. Let’s face it. If you don’t like it after a while there’s plenty of Blades to return to.
I’ve been out on the blade today to go and test a 765RS. I came to the conclusion that although the RS is a good bike, it still isn’t ahead of the blade in any major way. I could live with it, if I wanted to wait till Oct/Nov for delivery. I guess they’re popular then. I’m toying with the idea of the 1200RS instead or maybe a Tuono.
I rode the 1200RS, suspension was unworkable for lightweight me, bought a Tuono Factory with semi-active Ohlins for less.
Get a Tuono. You won't stop smiling. I have had my 2020 TV4F nearly 3 years and so far no major problems. Go test ride one but bring you're wallet
The Fireblade went yesterday, to a friend and work colleague. I followed him on my 748 to make sure he got home ok (15 years without riding he was, just like me when I bought it). At least I’ll be able to keep an eye on it
I'd be happy with any of those apart from maybe the Guzzi, they've never been my thing. Be nice to test ride the Thruxton back to back with the Speed Twin.
Mates just got that new Kwak...lovely looking bike. He's done a few miles on it already and likes it but did mention this about the gears etc..
