Be interesting to see how many miles you intend to do on it and what you actually do. Herd of people not riding them because the cross plains delivery turns them into nutters. Low mileage bikes make me a little sad, the thought of people not fully enjoying them.
I don't think the "cross plane" delivery has turned me into a nutter yet, although my wife might argue differently
Yep, stunner that Simon! Is that a paint job or have you bought fairings for it? I know I've seen it in the flesh bought can't remember what you did
Well I fully intend to enjoy as I do all my bikes, I'll get out as much as I can and can't wait to hear that Cross plane, especially with those Akras! What will I do with it.....I've already thought about having the wheels painted black but I've been told by @Selmer50mark I'm not allowed I just like black wheels. The black and gold looks good but if I'm honest its not my favourite combo! I've not bought it for the colour, if I did I'd have gone for a red and white one. I've bought it because it was the best bike I could find regardless of manufacturer, in this condition, age, miles, owners, original un-fannied about with and fairly local to me!
Thanks Paulo, bought a new fairing for her last year, so she's a bit different from last time you saw her
I’m with @Selmer50mark - the gold wheels look spot on with the black panels. However, if you want black wheels (as you have done previously and as @SimonRR has suggested) order a set of the red and white fairings from China and see if you can get a set of black rims from eBay or Yam’s equivalent of the Vicster. After all you’ve £10k burning a hole in your pocket
Bike looks lovely as it is, including the gold wheels. Just leave it alone and use the spare money to buy a bloody round of cuppas in for a change
Your on, I leave bike as it is and I'll buy a round of cuppas and I might even treat you to a spam fritter if you haven't eaten them all by the time I get there!
Few little jobs over the weekend, fairings off to give it a good clean and check coolant levels, didn't need it on both counts which is good. Had the tail tidy off and gave it a fresh coat of satin black all ready for new number plate. Fitted battery tender and finally ......took the baffles out, can't wait to hear it !
I've noticed that the R1has smaller chicken strips than the Ducati , is that why you bought it I'm surprised @Lozzy didn't pick up on that
