I had a Carbon Yoshi on mine and that sounded great....not overly loud. I did however try a Racefit and that was ridiculously loud so returned back to the Yoshi. I also had an Arrow GP2 and that was probably in-between the two. I'd always steer clear of the cheaper cans like the BW but each to their own really.

I ordered sc project for my 2008, but i cancelled after 20 days they had "raw material issues". Refunded in 2 days after request

Ordered leo vince 8445 instead. o2 sensor adapter thread was defective, got stuck in s-pipe and now im waiting for warranty replacement
If i had to order again i would probably go with sc

I’ve always liked the look of the oe exhaust in that year and I’ve heard a couple that have had the baffles removed from them that sounded really nice and not overly loud.

I get annoyed with the standard exhaust valve opening at legal speeds.
You could try your early sc59 headers with the later sc59 silencer, acts as a decat just need to make up a thicker joint gasket.

Much easier just to disconnect the exhaust valve cable, then you get a consistent sound and power delivery.

It’s worth talking to mark hill at Mhp exhausts, he can make a system as loud or as quiet as you want.

The standard exhaust is probably the nicest looking exhaust you can get for that model in my opinion, you can get a carbon cover for it too which looks really nice.

Alot of the 'shorty' ones look a bit crap unfortunately

I disconnected the servo cables and set the exhaust valve to open and its plenty loud enough without being OTT and hassle free for track days too! ;)

I completely agree. I have kept original on mine since new 14 years ago. Repainted it twice (they rust). Had a carbon cover for about 5 years til it started breaking up, so I put the original matt alloy one back on and now prefer it that way. Disconnected the servo cable about 12 years ago to keep it louder at low revs and smoother running. None of the aftermarket exhausts look anything like as good on this model (in my personal opinion…)
