Popped out for a ride up around Brigg/Caistor. Me and Missus both with new lids and intercoms* so was a good chance to make sure the fit etc was good. The new x-lite felt like I had been riding in it for years, very comfortable and a great fit. New intercom has good sound, but raido reception is worse than my old one. Tried turning RDS off on the way home and it seemed to try harder at keeping some sort of reception. *intercoms but we don't use them for that, just use for music/radio/speedcamera app.
Sounds like you're happy with it @Barstewardsquad !! I love mine although it is a touch noisy with all the vents open especially the top ones. But hey who cares its a serious bit of kit and it looks sublime!!!
Definitely like it Was a bit unsure as my old 802 was a medium, but when I bought an 803 last year in medium it felt too tight snd "wrong." Anyway when I took missus to get her new one I tried the 803rs in large and knew that was right. The fact I could remove the spoiler was the icing on the top as it seemed a bit OTT for a naked bike.
Yeah I went a size up too and its a perfect fit, in saying that's its a little bit too snug around the cheek bones but im sure that'll give over time! You removed the spoiler!!! that was one of the reasons I bought it!!!
Out at 5 30am , fill up, avoid the rabbits and pigeons across to Yarkshire then drop down to Devils Bridge. Nobody about @6 30 so on to Milnthorpe, Caton, then Glasson Dock, brew then home. Think I'll go out again after lunch
Another early-ish bird and on the road for 07:00. Missed the Sunday morning muppets but then discovered my talent for finding new to me roads with stupidly low limits, and ones that have been ripped up to have a copious amount of gravel tipped on it.
Roll up to Burgess Hill to have lunch with my son, wife and grandchildren. Was looking forward to the run over the downs coming back but my decision to just cruise it suited the weather (and the police car three in front).
Went to wells next the sea for a motorcycle show Paid one pound per wheel to park in a field Boiling hot so stayed 2 mins and went for a ride round the coast and on some twistys
Cat and Fiddle with @Selmer50mark and the down to Ashbourne to meet up with the elusive @Lozzy........was great to see them both
I was deep in thought....we were discussing Paul's reluctance to give up his pani leathers and how he'd suddenly aged having to get his purse out in the cafe
Thats Marks riveting conversation for ya!!! You can only hear the 'doctor put his finger up my bum' story so many times
An And to think I turned down first Sunday of the month sex for a ride out with you . Mind you getting a hug off Lozzy made up for it
Lovely to have a proper northern man hug off you Mark Paul tries his best but it's still a bit Larry Grayson
Was out a little earlier so as to get a decent ride in before the weather turned (which it still hasn’t here as yet). Down side of that is usual spots for a brew Ramblers Cafe at Ryal Fold and The Wheatsheaf at Croston were still closed. No matter ended up in the Alexander & Victoria Cafe next to the pier in Southport for a spot of late breakfast. Meandering ride back through the back lanes and home for 1:00. Bike and leathers all cleaned and away ready for the British F1 at 3:00
