is it just me, or does everyone get home and think

    a) how am I alive
    b) that was a decent bit of riding
    c) that was a terrible bit of riding
    d) I hope the postman doesn't bring me a surprise
    e) what a load of peanuts we share the roads with

I have never got on my bike and not enjoyed the ride though.

I just got home now and still have that little buzz, no cock ups and had a great time and have discovered that tea is about a third the price of coffee!

only one brown trouser moment, slowing down for a roundabout, the back wheel must have skidded or something, felt it slide to the left and lean over, then that moment of panic, realisation that im not dead, then carrying on, all in the space of half a second :D

    Quite often :)

All was good yesterday apart from the tw4t who decided to try and overtake a lorry. They had just joined from a main road and were going uphill. I know this because I was heading downhill at the time

Did the tw4t hit his brakes and slot back in behind the lorry? No he decided that his gutless piece of shit could complete the overtake, which I suppose was technically right but only because the lorry driver and me piled the anchors on!

its happened to me in the car, you get people overtaking cyclists now, giving them more room, but not considering the oncoming traffic, im sure some people are just brain dead

It's the "Have I been caught by an unmarked car and will I get points" part everytime, don't really like Sunday blasts anymore.

Kinda the same, it's not so bad on familiar roads but if I ride out, then I worry, and not even because I go racing everywhere, just that I'll think I missed a speed limit change or something

I agree after the TT it’s a massive downer for me to such an extent I haven’t/can’t bring myself to go out for a ride for ages afterwards happens every year, wish I could afford to move there, the risks of points etc weighs heavily on my mind over here and makes me on more than one occasion consider selling the bike but when I see it all clean and shiny can’t bring myself to do it,does the risk outweigh the reward, this I find harder and harder to justify

I understand. Not only the risk of points but also the stupid people in charge changing the law against bikes (and also cars). This oppressive and depressive nature of modern Britain is one of the reasons I recently sold the blade, my new bike will be a lot more fun at more legal speeds, easier to get around the just stop oil nut jobs, or through the barriers in these 15 minute cities that are going up everywhere and I’ve still got the 748 for a cheeky blast, or to take on track.
