This is my 1993 RRP. She has covered 25K miles & I have been restoring her (a bit at a time) for the last couple of years. She is fairly original. The can is non standard, but I have the original. The mirrors are an upgrade as I hated the condom type, but I have the originals. I replaced the levers & a few of the fasteners as they were rusting. The bar ends had been changed by a previous owner, but I think they look ok. I also changed the forks because the originals ones were way past it. I found a set from a 94 model which look identical but have the benefit of both rebound & comp damping. The shock was serviced & fitted with a new spring; unfortunatley, its yellow instead of the oem red. The headers are off at the moment being blasted & repainted & the engine covers are with the powder coater. I rebuilt her from the frame up (except the engine) & she rides loverly, but she has been used well & will never be totally mint. The most frustrating part is the tank has a couple of tiny rust spots near the filler cap & I don't know what to do about it. She is a keeper
Very nice indeed, interesting that we measure our new bikes by the number of mods and our old one by how close to standard they are? I would like a little project like that?
You mean it costs a lot of money, invariably takes far longer than you thought it would and normally ends up with lube on your hands and dirt under your fingernails? Lovely bike by the way, Swiss
