Thursday finally came and my trip to MCT for the suspension work.

I can not believe how much it has improved my bike. I have never had a bike changed so drastically by a suspension change. The rear Ohlins shock I had brought on ebay some months back was stripped down and serviced then fitted and set up.

The front fork springs were replaced with longer springs, new weight matched oil and full set up.

The test ride showed up a huge change but as the roads were a bit slippery I could not fully test the bike.

Yesterday was dry and sunny and I went down my usual twisty routes. I probably averaged an extra 10 to 15 mph on the tricky bends. I was getting the HESD operating fairly regularly under harsh acceleration. Now I can pin it in any gear and she holds nice and steady.

The roads I ride are very bumpy and the bike almost feels like it is gliding over them now. Everything has improved, speed of turn, braking and accelerating, it seems to be digging the back wheel in more.

I think it has also boosted my confidence in the bike as there are no longer any of the unexpected movements I used to get.

It was well worth the money, the best mod I have ever done and now my Blade is definately the best handling bike I have ever owned.

Can't wait till the 8 th March when the zorst and pc etc get done.

The biggest change has been the forks, I was a bit like you Blaggers, 'wallowing' best describes it.

The longer springs have helped no end and now it all feels controlled and there is a lot more feel. I can actually 'feel' what the bike is doing now and that makes it easier to assess if i am getting to the limits or not. I pushed her so hard yesterday especially on the bends and she did everything I needed, totally planted and that's on s**t tyres.

Let me know when you get the new boots on and we'll go and get the suspension set up done in Leeds.

Exfire, you say that you were getting the HESD operating. Do you mean you could feel it? Only reason i ask is because ive never felt mine do anything.
    (sorry to go off topic)
