Tried a pair on yesterday in Red /White vented. Quite nice however the guy in the shop said he loves them but due to the vented piece which in effect is over the foot they are very cold to ride about in which stacks up and yes they may be ok for track days in summer or spain. the Black and the Black/White ones are not vented .So my question is Have any of you Dudes got a pair and what do you think?
Yes non vented, zips have failed on both my Alpinstars boots (did this on my old pair too) but they still fasten secure. Going to try some Dainese boots next.
use mine winter or summer. Great boots and only my Sidi Corsa Air can beat then during a hot summer days due to venting on the Sidi . The Supertech get used often
Love my supertech R's . This will be the 3rd summer in them and all I have changed is the toe sliders There is a reason why most MotoGP, WSB,BSB actually most racers any where them They are the Best !
My Supertech R 'GP Track' versions are vented (they look camo but its actually all the Motogp circuits making up the effect) and theyre awesome, its the 2nd pair of the supertechs ive had and after wearing sidi's for years i wouldnt wear another boot now. Super comfy, dont squeak like other Astars boots either. Buy them, if your feet get cold wear thicker socks
Unless we are talking about different boots , No they where originally vented before they changed to non vented . Looked loads better so if they have made them vented again then I'm happy buying a new set , I wasn't keen on non vented
You may be right there dan, technically speaking the gp track versions are old, it's just that I got them brand new as somebody had some left in stock and I wanted them, they're vented. My black n white versions weren't vented, which I believe we're a newer colour scheme, the boots however have remained unchanged in shape etc for a few years (some older ones were different, not as nice IMO )
Thanks boys ,It would apear that 2012 the Red /White are vented with the others not .Looks like the cold is not an issue here so may be its all good!
