Wondering what gearing people are using on their road bikes.
I'm currently.running 16/43 but looking at changing to 15/43 or 16/44 and wondering what others use and like for road.

Standard 16/42 for the road would be my opinion.

I've gone 15/44 on my Repsol that is used mainly on track and I don't like riding it as much on the road now. It's made it a bit too revvy especially with an aftermarket can and QAT. Any stretch of motorway sitting at 75-80 feel like you're thrashing it.

My HRC is still on standard gearing and it's much better suited to the road.

I just did the 520 chain conversion and decided to go a gearing change to 15 44. It’s fun and wheelies easy and the power down low is great. Honestly, it’s too much though. I’m going to leave on the -1 front sprocket the throw a 520 42t or 41t. I bought the Speedo healer but have yet to install it.
