No the bsb supercorsa is just a rebranded SP as far as I m aware, its certainly a more road specific compound anyway. The sc or special compounds are road legal but track focused tyres that really require keeping constantly hot. The sc come in 3 compounds being sc0 sc1 and sc2 and is the tyre used in bss and wss as far as I'm aware.
As said, BSB is named after the British Super Bikes and SP Special Production... I was told first hand the BSB and SP are the same tyre so then I asked why more money for the SP.... No comment was the reply.....lol
Loads of my pals have pilot pures, swear by them- They will definately be the next tyres I put on the RR10. Have the Road pilot 3's on the 2000, think they are great in the wet/cold etc.
I have to say i really enjoy reading through the what tyre debate ,But have you notice that once everybody has settled for the best must have, along pops up another tyre and everybody then wants that one .Me i can't make me mind up, because its cabbaged with all this tech talk. Keep it up and maybe one day i will know whats best.
Cool, thanks for confirming. I use SC2's over here as they are the only decent tracktire (other than the RaceTec K2's) I can get hold of.
Another thumbs up for the Pilot Pures! nice light tyre that's great in the wet and can hold it's own on dry trackdays, don't last long but they 'feel' great on the bike also and are well worth it imho.
Your like a bloody mind reader I was looking at this thread again earlier and thought exactly the same thing lol
Any news on your dymags yet, I placed an order for mine today just wondering if you've received yours yet and what you think of them if you have.
Yes they are ready but as I m away I have arranged for delivery to be this Friday. I won't be able to tell you the benefits though as going for an operation on Wednesday next week and want to ride the bike before and after for a direct comparison so might be a while before I can give you feedback. Did you go for the lightweights ?
Yeah I went for the lightweights, it seemed mad not to for the extra £120. Having them in white to suit the new Rothmans colour scheme.
