Ta mate, i thought so. I can't believe the over reaction of some of you... bit poor really. If this is the worst that can happen to you in life guys, then i wish you all the best of luck, you will all have easy lives, and pain free.

Some need to get a sense of humour.

    Cheers.

Si, your last post deserves a response. This wasn't about having a sense of humour, you played on the fact that there is a strong sense of 'helping each other out' on this forum and you took advantage of that. That's not funny, it's juvenile in my book. Okay, you could say I was a bit naive for not checking the number first, and if it had been a post from an unknown I'd like to think I would have been more cautious. But no, Si is a regular guy on the forum and he needs help. I'm in Kent, but my mechanical knowledge is pretty much zero, so I phoned a mate of mine and asked him to call you. He didn't question it as he trusted me, and he was prepared to help out another biker, albeit a complete stranger. I had the unpleasant task of having to phone him later to apologise and tell him it was a hoax. So, you could say your little ruse worked a treat, and if you choose to take some warped satisfaction from that, then I suggest you are the one who needs to look at his sense of humour, you have no place giving advice to others. On reflection, I don't believe there was any malice intended, but at the least it was very poor judgement on your part.

Yeah it's about as funny as "ring bell run". As JD says, you've totally missed the point - which is about trust and community. Practical jokes may be OK when with your mates, but not with people you don't even know.

Well, thats all we have time for this week. Why not tune in next week, when we get someone walking by the sea to believe a man is drowning. Until then, thank you for reading this and see you next week on The Wind Up Channel ( for subscription inquiries please phone 999 and ask for Peacie Knobhead).

1000rr.co.uk would like to apologise for the loss of coherence in Bat's last post.

His meds have been blow darted into his escaping arse and we are hoping that his normal, slightly less deranged observations will resume as soon as possible.

Kinda with Bats on this one, Si made a judgement error but it was meant with good intent.

I understand why certain people are peeved especially JD but when we all meet in the summer or whenever no doubt we'll all laugh about what a nob Si was and turn the joke on him in a totally friendly way of course, we all fcuk up but nothing is worse(for me anyway) than upsetting people who you consider friends even if we've never met, when all you wanted to do was seek their approval in the first place by making them laugh!

This ain't directed at anyone I totally understand everyone's views, I just get the feeling Si's a pretty decent bloke and did it 110% with the best of intentions!

Jesus, are you lot still banging on about this.

There are far more important things to worry about. The postie delivered my new R&G cotton reels and bar end sliders this morning and one of the bar ends are damaged with a huge gouge out of one it. Now that’s worth ranting about.

Time to cut Si a bit of slack now imo.
