If I ever drifted over to the dark side I'd have one of these. Tried one out for size at th NEC, fitted like a glove. Looks the poodles plums too !
I love them. 'twas a toss up between the rc8 and the blade. The only reason I chose the blade was because I'm used to IL4's. The handle brilliantly, and dead comfy.go like stink anawl, pull like a train.
Their cheap you can get brand new ones for £8k all be it the older spec bike I think it'd have to be an R though!
Yep 2009 Benn, find one you will love it! If I did not have my 848 I would be tracking one down! Funny that today I rode my 848 for an hour then jumped on my CBR, twins!! You got to love them even the 848 (130bhp) feels way more grunty off the mark than the blade! Get an RC8R Benn but watch out for that Damo (above) he will have you on the long and winding road of bling (not that your not used to a little bling but Damo has rather nice taste and has a nice RC8)....lol
Never seen the 2009 R I'll keep my eyes peeled though, I am guessing they are more expensive to mid than the jap bikes!
Loved these bikes since I first seen and heard 1 a few years back. Only thing I've heard wrong with them is perhaps slightly dodgy fuelling low down but I'm sure as hell I could live with that minor compared to all the positives. Fantastic brakes, suspension, engine, adjustibilty, and looks like a stealth bomber with it's angular lines. What's not to like
Yeah they no longer make the base model but they have cut costs on the new twin spark r model. The wp suss and m4 brakes do the bizz and the forged wheels and sharp geom make the old r super nice. Id love one! And my girl keeps bugging me to get one but my stable is full for now but one day I plan to get one easy bike to maintain too check out the tune up kits for massive power frok the r and I mean massive!
Honestly Nah, there's not loads you need to do, ok the KTM billet parts are must haves, it's really nice quality stuff and finishes off the reservoirs and tail section nicely. Tinted screen (Ktm version as the others are poo), oh and for me next I'm having a couple of number boards for this year, always steered clear in the past but I've got a 1mm/2mm stone chip on the front..... It's hardly noticeable but boy does it get on my tits cos I know it's there. I'll just produce some chuck away ones at work One thing Benn, if you head on to the KTM forum in the Rc8 section make sure you take your thick skin and sense of humour, those boys do know their stuff but they take no prisoners either, it's all in the name of fun but a thread can get hammered in 5 seconds flat especially if the poster hasn't used the search function...... It's like a long running joke Good crack though them lot, in fact they're bloody bonkers most of the time, I think it's a Ktm thing.
