Welll I've been a busy little bee for the last couple of weeks at work so treated myself (bike) to a new ickle battery . It was a bit of a pain to fit as the terminals are the other way around but with a bit of fiddling with the screws got it in . Even with the extra kick of starting power that these LiFePo4 jobbies have .. the starter motor still turns over like it can't be bothered .. You know what I mean don't ya ?? So its smaller in size but a little fatter .. charges quicker than the standard one .. and weighs a good kilo less . Not cheap I know but I got it with a bit of discount (£45) compared to Calsport and it is supposed to last a lot longer than the standard sort as its not so susceptible to vibration .. so it could actually work out cheaper in the long run . Then today I got one of those little exhaust servo chips from the guy in America .. so I can now remove the servo as it performs no function at all and the chip fools the ECU into thinking its still there .. so no warning light on the dash . With all the junk I've removed from my bike it would be interesting to know how much I have saved .. its gotta be over 10 kilos by now .
Get the kitchen scales out and get em all weighed in then ! It would be genuinely interesting to understand weight off vs weight on !!
Hi nutty , Iv heard of the chip but never found it for sale, Could you point me in the right direction please
