Ok so I found something I am unsure about with the bike...
If I turn the handlebars all the way to the left, it does not hit the bump stop. The clip on near the left fork hits some wires instead. I thought initially that the wires were routed badly, and needed to go on the inside of the tank cover left side bolt, the way they do on the right side. But in moving the bars around, i see that that space on the left side is for the HESD, so the wires are not supposed to go there.

Does anyone else have this left handlebar hitting the harness wires when handlebars are at full left lock??

    :)

I grew up not too far away from Streatham in Sunny Mitcham, which is now refered to as Down Town Mogadishu

Ref; The left handlerbar hitting the wire harness on full left lock - I'll check mine for ya when I get home and let you know the result.

I will check the Service Manual for the cable routing instructions when I get home, so i can compare also...

I've checked for you and found that the left handlebar control connection cable, does run under the left hand side fork leg but it does not trap or crush it when on full left lock.

so it has enough slack that it runs below where would be the trap point?? Mine are so tight that there is no slack. There are wires up against the frame, going under the tank cover just under the bolt for the tank cover. I have a feeling that when they installed the heated grips they re-routed too tight in that area...

    Waitamminit, lemme check the manual...

Ok from the manual on page 1-22, Left Handlebar Switch Wire should be cable tied to the bracket thingy, which might be the bracket for the tank cover. So my guess is that it needs to tie up there and will therefore run above the point where it is pinching now... Should be easier to sort out than if I had to find slack from under the tank... That pinching has been bugging me!!!! Causing unnecessary damage to the wires!!!

Will take a look tomorrow, I still don't have the insurance cert. as they are having problems sending emails or some pile of steaming rot like that... So my baby is home safe, under cover, and waiting........ Not gonna wake her up for a tease...
