I've seen some stunning results of planetary shots but I don't have the resolving power to make it work properly. I'd love to have a go with something wide enough to try it out.

This one doesn't look too bad and it's shareware.

I was at The Focus on Imaging trade show today at the NEC and got called over to the Hasselblad stand by one of the reps.

'I've got something for you' he said then reached under the counter and plonked a camera in my hand. One of the Apollo 500 EL's. I nearly dropped it when I realised. I didn't, thankfully, as it's one of only four left. It never flew, as it was a training unit, but it had been used by all the lunar landing crews. It had an exposure guide fixed to it with 'Lunar (Basic) f4 250/1' and creepily 'Earth (Distant) f11 250/1'. I did have to give it back though.

Jeanette was more excited that I met two of the dancers from 'Strictly'.

It was first outfitted in 1902 and the picture was thought to be taken in 1911. It was the nearest Kodak got to an HQ until they moved to Hemal Hempstead?

All we had with us was a phone and it was pretty crap, nothing worth showing I'm afraid.

Okay, here's me grinning like a loon for having been given a priceless piece of photographic history, trying to work out if I could outrun the fat bloke from Hasselblad to the NEC carpark.

This is when everybody else realised what I had in my hands and made a grab for it. I was actually growling at this point.

And here's s shot of probably the most unique exposure compensation guide ever, a setting for planet Earth when photographed in the distance.
