I am interested if anyone on here uses the red kill switch to turn the bike off, if so why. Is it exactly the same as using the key to turn the bike off? Im a key man personally but just wondered.
I tend to use mine when I get home cos I need to back the bike into the garage so after about a 16 point turn I flick off the kill switch to back it up. With the ignition still on the alarm doesn't set itself while I'm still trying to get it tight across the back of the garage and wake everyone up.
Dont use mine, only accidently.ie: after cleaning the bike, I sometimes wonder why it wont start then realise i've 'killed' it. Lol. Used to use it on my other 'carbed' bikes for the occasional aptly timed backfire.
My XJR with full Akra does a fair POP when you hit the kill switch crack open the throttle let it overrun for 10secs and hit the switch B A N G she goes....lol Under the local railway bridge with the collage girls its a right HOOT! lol Mean but very funny...lol
never use mine, had one pack up on an old 125 i had and put me off them ever since. I was stuck 40 miles from home.
I always use the kill switch . motocross bike habit i guess . The more switches a thief has to turn on making it harder to start the better i say lol
And most Hondas wind over too, walk round the next bike meet turning off as many as you can find then sit back and watch lol, its like a day out setting passwords in PC World....lol
Bet you was the kid what used to pull wings off flys to turn them into spiders. Or legs off spiders to turn them into raisins. Lol
Nope, never used it but I never considered the fact of the alarm going off while manovering, I may adopt the habit? oh I did use it to get a nice pop out the back of my bandit. little things.
