What can I say that doesn't sound pat and patronising.

If you claim it's a pointless death it diminishes their sacrifice but at the same time what is the point.

To lose your life defending home and hearth is one thing, but to die enforcing the foreign policy of another country...

I just don't know. it's too big and too complicated. I just don't have any trust in any of the scenarios that justify it, in my own head but especially in the minds of those who have just lost five loved ones.

RIP. The minute we step out of that shithole , you know that they will creep back out of the woodwork. Seems such a pointless exercise, but what do i know.

Sad always when one of ours is lost.I'm proud of all our personnel serving the UK.It's Frightening when your loved ones are serving in any wars.I waited for my Dad to come home from the Falklands luckily he did.Falklands was ours for centuries.Worth fighting for. Most of these wars today are foreign policies or political agendas to steal from countries.Oil, minerals, treasure artefacts and debts. When has America ever been at peace. The bullying cowboy wll meet his match one day. Probably CHINA:(

I am with you guys 100%. Dan my oldest son’s best mate lost his dad (Royal Green jacket) I didn’t know him well but had a few beers with him. It will affect every one of us sooner or later. I wear my wrist band with pride and in respect and in some ways thank god that I am to old to be re called having done time in the terrestrial but in other ways I would like to do my part.

Forgot to post yesterday, my mate safe and sound.
On an aside, another (older) mate of mine died a couple of weeks ago. He was a marine, been all over, survived allsorts. Woke up dead due to a brain tumour. Fcukin funny life sometimes.
