Is there any difference for the engine at all or does the key and red switch kill the engine in the same way, I imagine its the same.

Nope never use mine, Dave has used it a few times to see if I check when the bike doesn't start, then wondered why his eyes were watering after a swift kick in the nads!!

As not to embarrass my darling wife i wont talk about the time we were riding and jo had full beam on, and i frantically signalled to her to turn her full beam off. Eventually when we stopped and i managed to pull up next to her i said "Full beams on". She replied "how do i turn it off" i just rode off shaking my head and left jo with a quizzical look on her face. Ok, maybe i did embarass her lol

I use mine when rolling into the garage on a trackday. Select neutral, switch off at the kill switch & roll in on inertia. Makes me feel like a GP rider hahhaaa!!

Will probably run somebody over one day ;)

Not sure wether or not it's am MOT requirement? There is a kill switch based question in the theory test Now. Something along the lines of where is the kill switch on a motorcycle located and when would you use it.
