    Hi,

My license plate is a "MONSTROSITY" as my mate said when I sent him pics. I mean, HUGE!!!

And then advertising on the bottom and a reflector and it just HAS to go!!!

I LOVE how some of your bikes look with the really small plates in one line, but I don't want to go THAT small, just smallER....

    Advice please??

Where do I go, what do I need??

    Thanks,

    J

You need to be very lucky , because if you have a smaller than legal plate, you will eventually get a tug and a fine. Nutty has one hidden under her undertray, but she would get away with a tug as the copper would have to kill himself to get away from her reasons for putting it there!!!!

I hear that, but this thing has a border and extra rim on the bottom with the name of the place I bought it from and I am sure that it is bigger than legal!! Haha

9"x7" is the legal mate. Also you need to have a reflector, and also the postcode of the place that sold it to you.

Thanks for the info. I figure the reflector can at least go above instead of below...

Most tend to go for 8"x6" plates so that it isn't too small. End of the day it comes down to the officer and how you act when pulled over.

So the slogan is instead of the Post code I take it...

I will put the post code that's cool, not taking the piss or anything, 7 by 5, heck even 8 by 6 is a great compromise!!!

Online then?? I have a certificate allowing me to change plate, came from the dealer... It's... Number Plate Authorisation Certificate, stamped and very official looking!!

Oh, I quoted that cuz I have those tyres... Still not even scrubbed in properly yet...

And I've seen the great chain guards, with the CBRacing... I Like that name... Is that a company or just your thing?? Copyrighted?? :)

I really dont think you need the postcode of the place you bought it from.. what if it came from a private sale??

Honestly never heard that before but...

4 of use got pulled up newtown (A483)last summer, when a member of the public reported us for overtaking a string of cars that were stuck behind a caravan, we were filling up in the texaco garage and two police cars boxed us in, i had 9 x 7 plate, but i had cut 3/4" off the bottom,i had 5 days to put it right,......the copper said, the plate MUST have on the bottom, the firm who made the number plate and the B S number,or £80. fine plus 4 points, and now its been reported. if i put a small plate back on and get stopped for the same thing they'll have the proof of,,,perverting course of justice................shit..................mal
