So what bike you looking at next? Have you even thought about what you want after your blade? I fancy a wafter next, something big, comfy and can do mental miles in comfort carrying a passenger and luggage (and still have the blade in the garage for fun days)
This'll probably be it for me. I really like the bike so I'll hang on to it as long as it's viable and I do like to keep my stuff in good order, but I'll probably be hanging up my guns if it has to go.
Maybe a blade in a few years or something that come's along. Not idea as yet as i'm loving the blade. normally buy new and keep 3 years. I may just keep the blade for track and get a cheaper bike to get some buzz from the road
I was looking at the RSV4 yesterday I liked it but i didn't leave thinking I've gotta have that bike!
Did you ride it ? I did and fell in love, it sounds amazing even with the std can and with the akro orgasmic but its the running cost and the finance that stopped me the blade was a better buy 0% and I got a good deal at the time the RSV4 was new and there was no good deals about. Would look at a factory APRC when the blade is payed off
Ben you are 18st cut..................you could probably pick the RSV4 up under your arm and walk around with it.........................
not much interested in any of the other litre bikes out there, but the GSXR 750 get excellent reviews
been looking at the 1098 the last few weeks but i do 200 miles a week and in winter too the blade does it easy and i payed for it up front so not sure about payments on a duke as wouldnt want to pay out that much in 1 hit
Plan to keep my 2011 abs for two years, so a bit of time to stroke my chin and ponder it over. Panigale looks good and will have a test ride during the summer to see if it rides as good as it looks, or I might stick with another new blade. Who knows what’s round the corner let alone in 2013.
I don;t know if i would have even considered that as a comfy long distance bike ... May have a wee look and a test if i can!
Strange this conversation came up, I was thinking about next bike being wafty! Will keep the blade for fun but maybe a Multistada with panniers etc for those longer rides and tours, Was looking at a triumph tiger 1050 with all the kit as it is great value, What do you all think?
I like the CB1000R. Think one of those is going to be my next bike. Will keep the blade still though.
I like my Blade but who knows what will be on market in a couple of years. My dealer told me, that a V-4 Blade is on the way for 2013. Also I like the Aprilia RS4 Factory APRC, MV-Augusta F4RR, Kawa ZX10R, BMW S1000RR but never a Ducati.
Well still a long... longggg way off but I can see myself getting a nice Bonneville T100 or Scrambler and forgetting the high bhp and just enjoying a nice ride
I had one of those until I hit diesel last year and wrote it off, it was a beauty... still miss her...................but love me Blade now Honda CB1000R Owners Club & Forum - HondaCB1000R.com - View topic - Carlosoul's Black CB1000R + Vids, Images & Mods
same here i will have 1 as soon as paid off current 0% deal on the repsol and keep that 1 too. before i traded in my 07 hrc for current blade i nearly kept it and bought a new tri colour cb1000r instead. very tempted back then!!
I didn't ride the rsv4 no I think it could end up costing me £6k+lol they do sound amazing lol! And my god yes they are tiny I thought the blade was small but by eck the rsv is like 250 tiny!
