    Hi just registered.:D

I have owned around 13 bikes in my 10 years of riding of various types.

I have been bike less for the past 6 months and now im starting to miss not having the two wheel option. My last bike being a 2009 z1000. Ive like the newer blade ever since it came out and im looking at the deals out at the moment.

I love the Repsol colour scheme and there are some good deals out there at the mo with 0% being offered and a bundle of free goodies. My question is with the new 2012 bike out should I go for that or stick with the 2011 bike. I'm told that Honda are not going to be doing the Repsol colours on the new bike for two years, is that true?

What are the differences between the 2011 and 2012 bikes?

    Many thanks :)

Here is a pic of my old blade.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

The main differences with the 2011 - 2012 bikes are the suspension, where they have gone to big piston forks at the the front and a similar design at the rear, also the dash has been updated to a digital type display with gear indicator.

I'm sure someone more in the know will be along to advise you shortly.
I've read on here recently that the 0% finance deal isn't being offered on the 2012 models as yet.
But welcome to the forum anyway!

They traditionally do a Resol only on odd numbered years so there should be a 2013 Repsol.

Welcome phantomx0, if money is no object and your not 100% set on the Repsol then get the new 12 blade. if you want a repsol and would have to save some money go for the 11 model. Which I have and are 100% happy a year on with my choice

Hi Phanto . Looking at the dudes who have the 2011 model including me there is not a queue at the bike shop to change up. Get the 11 Repsole and spend the difference on goodies! And welcome from tropical Cheshire.

I bought 2011 Repsol September last year and I'm very happy with! not tried the 2012.
I think unless you are a BSB rider I doubt you would be able to place them miles apart.

    Thanks
    Gary

Yeah that's what I'm thinking the dont look different really and as for the better suspension I doubt I would really notice! Also not a fan of the new digital clocks. I had digital on my last bike and didn't like them!

    Let's see how Tuesday goes!
