Bleed the master cylinder first then work away from the highest point then back again to be sure.

If you have any doubts take the lid off and replace on the pot loose just to stop dirt getting in and let air vent off

Put a zip tie on to hold brake lever on and leve them on overnight

Next day or after a good few hours anyway tap all the hoses with say a screwdriver from the bottom To the top to agitate any tiny bubbles that cling to the hoses

When you take the zip tie off and refit he cap etc you will feel an improvement

I have the same on a cbr600rr untill I used speed bleeders. Is air gettinging into the system after bleeding? If yes check the crush washers for correct fitment and damage. Also you could have a micro hole in the new lines letting in air

Also check the bleed nipples aren't leaking. Don't overtighten too much

Dry off as best you can after bleeding using bog roll or kitchen roll if your posh

Put a little talcum power on the bleed nipples (that's what she said) and lock the brakes on with a zip tie and check in a few hours to check if they're damp.

I had a bit of a problem myself when I did the Venhill hoses ... cured it by taking the nearside caliper off first and turned it over to release the trapped air

Then did the offside one afterwards ... its amazing how much more air came out . ( used a spanner to hold the pads apart and was using a speed bleeder type system so I don't need to lock off the nipples each time )

Are you bleeding the master cylinder first? It has its own bleed nipple, alot of people don't realise this.........I only know because I learnt the hard way!

Even new brake fluid has air in especially if the bottle has been shaken

It's always worth re bleeding the system after the first ride after filling new fluid

That should have read 'before' not 'bride' by the way. Don't know what happened there.

    Bloody phone predictive spelling!

I bottled at the thought of bleeding my own brakes and took a run up to a mate who pit crews TVR racing. When I pulled into the workshop one of the other mechanics shouted over "You're not gonna do a bike are you?" and did that backwards whistle though his teeth. Anyway my mate unscrewed a bottle of dot 5.1, fitted this gizmo onto the airline and I swear, by the time I'd taken off my helmet and leathers he'd purged, refilled and bled the back brake system. Trust me, I will never bother attempting this job myself until he retires.

Squeeze the rubber hose between the master cylinder and the reservoir, normally has air stuck in there aswell
