It looks like clutch plates on my 06 fireblade got sticked togehther. the bike was left without oil for some time when I was re-spraying an alternator cover. does anybody has any idea how to get them released without taking the clutch out. Thanks.
Put in 1st gear front wheel against a wall pull clutch in and fire it up! You do it at your own risk its old school as they used to bind all the time (years ago when I were a lad) it should fire up and the clutch free, BUT I would pull it a part if it were mine, or start it if it were yours....lol (poor joke)...
I laughed will try your method today, if it doesn't help then will drain the oil and put it apart. cheers mate!
Your bike is fitted with a hydraulic clutch, in all probability it would need bleeding and replenish fluid, if thats fails then its wise to open up and have a look.
Start it, get someone to push you as quick as they can, drop it into gear when you can & hold the clutch in then drive around for a bit, it will free off very quickly.
was about to try the thing with giving it a push and driving it in gear holding the clutch lever in but it turned up that my bike somehow developed a leaky radiator (I probably damaged it while removing the downpipes couple of days ago). must get the holst radweld tomorrow to stop the leak and then try again getting the clutch sorted out.... i'm so pissed off!
This worked on a friends nsr125 and a friends r6. so just bump start the bike and ride around. the nsr took some serious riding around before it released.
To be honest mate. If it were me, I would be stripping it before anymore damage is done. Yes it may take some more time, but I'm sure I'd rather that than do even more damage to the bike.
Take heed 838 there must be a logical reason for the lock up by, trying to force the issue you might just land up with more than a damaged rad bud.
