Depends on how far you've got to go but I would guess about 30ish miles. There’s a countdown on the gauge from 0 to 10 which I think are 10ths of litre. Personally I don’t push it past 6. Hope this helps

Surely it's easier to fill it up rather than go to all the hassle if you should happen to run out ?!

It's 10ths of a gallon I think the highest anyone ever got to is 0.6 before bottling it.

I was averaging 37 ish mpg the other day so 0.6 is about 2.7-3 litres of fuel so I'd say 20 mikes ish to be safe any more your risking it

    The manual says

low fuel light (amber) comes on when you reach the reserve (3.5 l / 0,92 US gal left in the tank)
The lower segment then shows the amount of reserve fuel used (blinks) starting from "0"

    Here's the catch!!

    3.5 litres

    0.92 US Gallon
    0.77 UK Gallon

Maybe UK bikes only go to 0.7???

Someone on another UK site said "Went to 0.8 on mine, started to splutter, coasted into petrol station, big sigh of relief...lol "

I find that when I have the fuel light on, it is ALL I can think about, and really takes away from the enjoyment of the ride.

Cheers I knew about the light, as when I bought my bike on the way home the damned think came on just after I'd pasted a services on the motorway.
It had been shitty weather for the first 2 and a half hours, so I wouldn't have been surprised in the slightest if i'd have run out that night.
Luckily the next services were only about 12 miles up the road.

I never knew what it meant 0.0 gal always makes me panic not anymore. Its still the same guage on 12 bike. I'm sure my dads cb1000r has a fuel gauge like a car that would be easier

I ran out of petrol on Sunday at 0.7 on the gauge! (although my bike's gearing may have distorted the figure a bit).
