After seeing the rear peg lowering brackets on Damodicis bike I ordered some. They arrived today. Gonna try just splitting the sub frame method to fit.
Got some of these myself Steve. I'm useless with spanners, infact at work I'm banned from using them but I fitted these over the weekend and it only took me about an hour. Def do the splitting subframe method, even I found it quite easy
Nice one, I have been wanting to get some of these. Where did you order them from and how much are they?
Got them from Rexpeed USA. Cost $53 (about £32). When they arrived today, they are clearly made in China! Quality looks good though.
Nice one Rooster. Can you remember what you had to undo/take off? I guess its seat, rear cowl and fairing, undo seat lock bracket, loosen sub frame?
Someone get them into CAD and you should be able to get them machined locally .... Probably not for £32 admittedly!
Rider an pillion seat, rear seat cowl, pillion seat lock bracket, tank cover (not petrol tank, cover only). Drop under tray down an rest on rear wheel (cos of wiring harness). Undo bolts on one side of subframe only, 3 at the front, 2 8mm in the middle (aluminium bracket) and 1 at the rear, once these are removed that side of the subframe can be pulled away leaving the battery tray intact and still attached to the other side. Remove pillion peg, fit bracket and replace subframe side, do the same to the other side and voila! The battery tray doesn't even move The only thing I've got to tell u is that when I fitted the tail tidy last year I slightly modified the battery tray by drilling 3 small holes to get at the screws for the plastic painted under cowl, if you've not already done this u might find getting to them a pain an you'll probably end up drilling like me to make it easier in the future Hope this info helps
Its no secret..... The guys name is Derek Chen. email [email protected] www.rexpeed.net For some reason, the brackets are not on their web site.
Emailed them yesterday and got a reply with a price of $55 US dollars shipped to the UK, which is £34.74 at todays exchange rate.
Me as well, mine are on there way I hope, just in case I ever get my wife to have a go on the back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Took the wife out on the back today for the first time since fitting the brackets. She felt much more secure. She is not a fan of the Blade and constantly asks me to get the Busa back. However, this small mod has made her a much happier passenger. It may only be an extra inch lower, but as the ladies say - every inch counts!
