Ok maybe not everybody but im sure most of us at some point will have been grass tracking with bad results here is my handy work after running a little wide and hitting a salt bank now lets see what all of you have to show off
I did have a spell at grass tracking fez.57, you know what, I think on that day as being one of my luckiest. In to a right hand bend way to hot after overtaking a car. Panic braked rear wheel locked and I slid straight through an open farm gate into a grass field. My leg missed the sandstone gatepost by the skin of my teeth and sat about 100 yards in. You know what the car I overtook stopped and the guy walked in to see if I was ok. Haha. We sat there had a smoke and he gave me a hand to push my bike back to the road. No slagging me off for being a dick just said "we were all young once lad" and left it at that.
lucky you, its nice when somebody understands that we are all idiots at times, especially helping you push the bike back out of the field
The bike cbr600 fx suffered no damage, well a bit of grass in the belly pan it was in kickstarts window on Talbot Rd on the Tuesday. And that my friend was the start of my 5 year lay off bikes. As the saying goes. Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult. I think ive Sussed it now
this was my best effort. back in 2003 had my bike parked in garage about 100yds from home while i was building workshop in back garden. thought i,d have a quick spin then bring it home to its new home but a little to much gas from the off and she high sided me off and slid up past my house. 3k worth of damage and a broken collarbone for me. should of known better!!
Red White and blue. It was T reg so a 1998/9 I know it was just on the point when the model was changed. Still a nice bike in it's time. I'll try and find some pics. Less grass
No pics (but we do have chunks of it on video) but last year in France, thrashing through some lovely roads we had found, i found myself totally unprepared for the right hander that apperared out of a stright-ish bit of road. As i was in front i went across the other side of the road with the rear wheel in the air and managed to make it onto the right hand grass verge of the small lane (which i foolishly thought was in the direction the road went) which must have been a farm access road. The guy behind me stopped on the same verge as me but he made it a bit further round and came to a halt with his lid pressed up against a road sign and his bike underneath it. My brother made it even further round but still ended up on the same verge after crossing the oncoming lane, still going a bit too quick, and narrowly avoided riding down a deep rocky ditch. The only one who made it round was a relatively inexperienced guy (to fast road riding) on a TDM850, he said he just did what we had all been telling him to do, and looked where he wanted to go, not at the bloody mess we had all made of it, and the bike did the rest. The embarrasing thing for my brother is, that him and his 750 SRAD were behind the guy on the TDM, and he still screwed it up. No crashes or injuries, but we still have a good laugh about it.
nice rocket, at least we learn and try not to make the same mistake twice, i once rode my mates zx-12 and had a few wiggles from the rear end, just too much torque, nice bike though
haha i think everybody goes through that phase blue, i was 18 when i smashed mine up, gave me a kick up the arse and i quickly learned how to ride properly
The worst one was my pal in the black forest... They had to crane the bike out of the trees! I'll dig the pics of pc later...
yes they were quite lively. i,d had this one since a few months old but because i was busy building its new home and hadn,t rode in a month or so just got carried away!! bought a brand new one a few years after but that went last year to make way for the blade.
