Fitting Venture shield paint protection

    Hey guy, has any of you dudes fitted venture shield before? Is it a right Gareth to fit or is it easy peasy? Any pointers, advise or do's & dont's workin with this slippery little sucker would much appreciated :)

    Trev there is loads of recent info on a Thread and on you-tube .The general feel is have it fitted by others.

    iv done 2 cbr1000rr fairings ! do the back first to get use to it i find it was easy to do but sayin that i did leave 2 marks on it ( bubbles i tryed to get out should lifted it up and sprayed it more but it was in a place i cant see ) the easyest bit is the fairin and you know which part is the hardest lol take your time and keep sprayin hehehehe good luck man :p

    Cannot agree enough with this, for £50 get a pro to do it you will get pissed off with it it is a proper art and easy to fcuk up, I cannot emphasise how much you wanna get a pro to do it !!!

    I hear you guys but there's no installers in scotland :( so it looks like it's up to me! So let the battle commence :eek:

    has any one tryed to put this stuff on ? i find it not to bad ok took long time but after about a hour of on off sprayin more got tthe hang of it ok head light fairin is hard but get in wet slip it on do top bits lined up and do first the work from middle out ! spray your fingers with the spray and work it in man lol cut out all the bits before you start :)

    Hi John im normaly quite good at stuff like this, what I'll do is take my time and treat it like a lady & maybe do it over a day or two :)

    just fit mine this morning .
    i found it dead easy ,as all i did was go next door and get my neighbour to fit it as he is a signwriter by trade.
    it can be a bit awkward to get it right.

    Have you attempted fitting yours yet?

    Does anyone know if the fairing needs to be polished before you fit the venture shield or not??

    Ideal Andrew hope they fit ok :) no mate you have to try to clean as much of the old polish off as you can before you start although it's not essential just for the best results! I've got 2 spray bottles 1 for baby bath & water and the other for isopropyl alcohol & water! The alcohol is to get the paintwork as clean as possible before fitting! I'll be fitting it over this weekend so wish me luck and I'll let you all know how i get on :eek:

    I raged binned loads fitted about 5 bits i cut myself NEVER again!!!!

    Your makin me nervous dude :eek:
    I'll try to keep calm, i'll ingest some of the very best narcotics and take it to a spirtual level ;) so if i fark it up at least be happy :cool:
