Anyone up on Blackbird's...thast CBR1100's????

    Just bought a 2000(injection) from salvage and l'm riding it down to Portimao a week on Thursday : )
    Just took it out for around 30 minutes b roads mostly got back home and the rad fans ons, it wasn't in the red but seemed to be running hot....is this a common problem?

    Maybe just mine l'm still sorting it but thought l read somewhere they run hot.

    I haven't noticed anything I thought out of the ordinary. I am out on it all day Monday and will let you know.

    The only thing i know is that the Carb model is better on fuel than the Fuel Injection model. Allegedly.

    They do run hotish just make sure you run with the right spec and ratio of coolant. Have serviced several BB and VFR's where these models seem to burn out the stator, all five bikes showed excessive heat on one of the phases with one burnt to a cinder.
    Just make sure the mechanics and electrics are perfect before taking on that mileage bud.
