Has anyone fitted the genuine Honda tall dark screen to their 2011 repsol blade?
I got mine today but not to certain about the black cover you get with it to keep the sun of the clocks!
So who has fitted the cover and who hasn't fitted it?

    Thanks
    Gary

Hi mate. I've fitted it to two bikes. I didn't bother with the shield on the second one. It's to stop the sun magnifying through the screen and melting the lens. But I don't think it ever gets hot enough in the uk to need it.

I fitted it, it lets me see my GiPro gear indicator much easier in the daylight so I like it

How much was the screen? I'm fancying one for mine. Does the high screen make a big difference.

I paid £92 from Marshall Honda peterborough. This is for the repsol so comes with screen sticker.
I noticed a screen on ebay(said brand new not been fitted) that went for £82 with delivery! Also so done on here was after £30 for just the sticker!
The screen should have been £110 but they gave me 15% off.

    Thanks
    Gary

is the screen sticker already attached or did you have to put it on yourself?

Put it on myself! Comes with complete instructions. Just sprayed sticker (sticky side) with mild detergent then use a squeegee to remove any bubbles and liquid.
Hardest bit was trying not to snap the two lower locating pegs! And yes both snapped!!! Grrrrrrrrr
Very good fit! But then again it should do from Honda and the price.

    Thanks
    Gary

You have to put it on yourself unfortunately. What's the issue with these lower lugs. I've got a screen to fit as soon as it gets a bit warmer. Is there anything you can do to prevent them breaking (dremel) fow examlpe or warm the plastics up??

The lugs are weak. You need clearance to pull the screen off the lugs, any pressure and they just snap! No big deal as there is a fixing at the base of the screen and this holds the screen in place.

    Thanks

To avoid breaking the lugs...loosen the mirror mounts and be careful!

I did that! I took both mirrors off only leaving the indicator wire holding indicators!

They snapped because you exerted force on them
    You have to be CAREFUL.
In other news, I broke a tail piece because I removed and refitted it a number of times, eventually got impatient and stopped being CAREFUL :)
