I still love the interact K3's, they are wearing well and grip like nothing I have ever used, good in the wet and dry and confidence inspiring, I love them, however there is a large community growing on the forum who love the dunlop sportsmarts and by all accounts they seem just as good, if not better for the road :)

What you using now ? also the 55 rear is a great improvement imo :)

Ok so here is another option for you to consider. i have the diablo rosso corsa 55 rear ( replacement for the corsa 3 but with everything slightly improved ) only got 250 miles on them so far but they feel great, still got 1/2 inch of strips still to get rid of but the softer side compound really works well and gives so much feel. i have not tried the supercorsas so i cant make any comparison but the harder centre compound must mean better millage for the road over the supercorsas

I have now given the Pirelli Supercorsa BSB's a couple of high speed rides on quite dodgy roads in terms of surfaces, bumps and damp and they have not even hinted at losing grip, despite me trying fairly hard. Very impressed, time and mileage will tell how many miles I get out of them, but for this level of grip, feel and turning I really do not mind if they do not last too long.

Exactly what I had last mate, can vouch for them, they are bloody great, had mine for Sunday blasts a week tour and the ring!! My only point would be they are brilliant in the dry, not bad in damp / wet. Got decent miles out of them too...

IMO, would say the sportsmarts are slightly better in dry, but much better in the damp and wet! (first two sessions at snet) and so far seem like they will last pretty well also

nice to see somebody else with these as not many people appear to have them. How many miles did you get out of them and what pressures were you running. I dont ride when its wet and if i do get caught out i just go steady so that part of a tyres performance has no importance for me

In that case your fine mate! Like I say, I was really impressed with them, but As I do a fair bit of touring, I like to know they have decent wet weather grip...

Got about 7k from front and 4k from rear (but it was shagged) I think.... I'm terrible for keeping record of that sort of thing.

Oh dear only 4k i thought they might be good for 5. Saying that as i will only be out when the weather is nice i would be happy with 4k. Did yours start to cut up a bit on the softer compound as mine are already starting to show some wear

    UPDATE...

Well i have used the bike for the last 2 days going to work and have racked up 250 miles.... The Rosso II's are awesome. loads of grip in the dry, this morning was a tad damp, but with plenty of grip whilst having a spirited ride through some lovely twistys..... Chicken strips are down to less than 1/4 inch already..... so well happy :)

you very well might get 5... like i said, that included a few laps at the ring and a week hooning in the black forest... all depends on what your using them for and how you ride.

year mine were quite quick to wear on the edges, but dont worry bout that, sure the middle will go first....

I've got Corsa 3's and they're good, but considered a bit marmite. If there was a poll on here I reckon the Dunlops would win.

why are you not considering the diablo rosso corsa, as it sits inbetween the rosso 2 and supercorsa sp ??

just thought i would make it a little harder for you to decide:)

Cheers Fez my heads now mangled .Prior to coming onto the 1000rr site itb was always an easy choice ie just read up pick a tyre and off i went ,now there is more confliting info it has made the task a big tougher and when you are lashing out upto £300 sheets sort of need to hit the bulls eye. I await for all the dudes that bought the mass buy of Sportsmarts to give us some feedback. Just a post note a mate came over last night on a newish Ducati 848 With SPs on and he was moaning that they are squaring off ?So more to consider.

this is probably because they are not multi compound tyres so the soft rubber on the edges of the tyre is also the same in the middle, great for tight twisty roads not great for straight-ish roads as they will square off quickly, this is why i think the diablo rosso corsa and dunlop sportsmarts are better suited for the road,

I've just found a thread on a Ducati forum that says the Corsa 3's have been discontinued so that should make it less complicated for you Mike.

Now I've got to find a decent replacement though.
