A sad day - the Blade is going.

Having had a £8k claim for theft of my Repsol last year I got a renewal quote through. I lost 3 years NCB with the theft and also have a theft that is classed as 'my fault'. So the cheapest renewal I can find is..... £2.9k. I could get TPFT for £1.7k but I cannot contemplate having a £10k bike that is not protected if I bin it.

Plus I'm moving to a larger house to accommodate the family so cannot justify such a huge insurance bill. F'kin thieves ruin everything don't they?

So today I bought an 2002 Aprilia RSV Mille. 13,000 miles, mint condition for its age and am still on a competent sportsbike! The insurance on this is £378 TPFT. Much easier to swallow. I paid £2700 on the nose.

Anyway, I will always be around here so I aint going that easy!

    Will post pics later.

    Rob.

Came with 3 exhausts (on the bike is a Mivv GP Carbon), Braided lines, Pazzo levers, loads of history and front & rear paddock stands.

Only ridden it a short while but seems OK so far....

Nutty tart 2003 onwards had the double exhaust.
The aprilia is a tall bike but very thin like a racing greyhound.

What extras do you have on your blade?

I may be interested in buying some parts if you want to remove them

Pity about the Blade Rob !! Still get an older Blade as a track tool? Keep the Appi for the road and get a RR4-7 trackbike you will still have pennies left and still be a " Blader "

There's a part of me that wishes I had bought something a bit older tbh... Not too keen on the thought of taking my bike on the track yet!
