Whats that Honda sticker you got on the nose there mate ?

Hi Dan,

It is a genuine Honda CBR1000RR Nose pad you can get them from all Honda dealers. LOL

But I think you are supposed fit it to the tank.

I used the other two parts on my tank to extend the existing tank pad.

Nice bike, but man get a tail tidy!

 

that is the golden rule, it must have a tail tidy, apart from that the bike looks good

 

I like the idea of that pad as well hmmmm saves the stone chips.

Although I will be getting a venture shield kit I think !

I do plan to get a tail tidy but I was looking for something a bit special (see Pic) one made from carbonfiber, but this one only fits the 2008-10 bike I guess the 2011 must be sl different?


I also need four new tyres this month, two SportSmarts for the Blade (managed to get 2000 miles from the rear) and Two RoadSmarts for the CB1300.

Honda have quoted £355.40 to fit the two roadsmarts II to the CB1300, I guess it will be about the same for the Blade so I will use a mobile Mechanic to fit the tyres saving £62.00.

 

Thats quite classy.Spend spend spend surely with modern processes they could make a fantastic tyre that you could get 6 k miles on them (noting we went to the moon 50 years ago) or is that bad for business?

 

I dont see any reason why it wouldnt fit a 2011 model as there were no changes that i am aware of

also £355.40 for roadsmarts fitted seems on the high side you could easily save £50 by shopping around a little

drove by the scene the other week and found loads of bits of blade in the gutter even 6 months on! scary

Do you think you will get another bike now ? Or still feel the same ?

 

getting another op on my hand/arm on monday as its pretty bad. i was looking to get another one but its doubtful now with this operation etc

 

I forget how big the crash was mate . Hope the op goes well and sorts it out for you . you will be back in the saddle 1 day mate , sure of it !
