I wished I had, two test rides again tomorrow now. A 2011 and 2012 blade waiting for me. One ABS and one without!

Gonna have a good ride on both

    Ok so decsion made.

I rode both bikes again, this time for 45 mins a piece.

Both awesome. Ended up buying the black and gold one. Here are my reasons why. Riding both I really couldn't tell the difference between the two bikes. Granted there is new suspension on the 2012 bike but for the road I don't think it makes a massive difference. Also I prefer the front end of the older bike and I'm really not a fan of the digital clocks on the new bike.

Also the price I have paid £10,150. This includes. R&G crash bungs and tail tidy, Akrapovic can, tank pad, fuel cap cover, asv leavers, Honda bike cover, seat cowl, Honda hugger, hel brake lines and alarm. The bike is also still on 0% finace so it's not costing me more than the list price.

The 2012 bike was 11,700 for the ABS model. With no extras. Although the dealer was gonna throw in a seat cower and hugger and tail tidy. But on top of this I would have wanted the akra can at £700 ish.

The 2012 with interest would have cost me £16,000 odd!

So that's it thanks for all your help guys. Pending the finance being approved tomorrow morning, as it was late in the day once I had made the decsion, I pick the bike up on the 29th.

    :)

Didn't realise the finance was that expensive on the new one! No brainer mate, and you've got a lovely bike!

    Nice one.

It's offered at typical 6.1%. But in my experience you never get given that rate. My misses just got a loan offered at 6.1% but once she applied it raised to 9.1% and as I've not had a loan in almost 10 yrs I doubt they would offer me 6.1%. Where as the 0% is a straight offer.

Congrats phantom, I can see why you didn't think the 2012 model was worth £6k extra, even I wouldn't pay that much more. Are you saying the honda finance would have added around £3.5k in interest? That is serious stuff!

You are going to love it, beautiful bike with all the right kit. You just need to buy my power commander for that pipe now;-).

    Well doing some rough maths.

The 2012 blade is 12k and the akra pipe is £700 ish

If and it's a big if they lend you the £12,700.00 at 6.1% that's and extra £1560 ish so the bike would cost me £14,300 ish.
But your more likely to get lent it at a higher rate like the misses did do the bike would end up costing more like 15k ish.

I don't like paying any interest. Then I would have also want to buy the other bits I'm
Getting in the deal so around £15,500-£16,000 all in. For a 2012. In the end was a no brainer really!

If there had been massive noticeable difference between the two bikes I would have bought a 2012!

PS how much for the PC?
