Anyone else got the sports pack fitted to their 2008-2011 blade, just wondering what you think of the akra can that is supplied with it. Whats it sound like compared with the standard can. Pick my new blade up on thje 29th and this can came as part of the deal. Thanks
I had the sport pack with my 2011. I sold the Akra. It sounds the same as the standard can. Not much louder with the baffle out. Looks nice though.
I've got the akra and don't agree with the previous post, get it fitted mate it sounds far better than standard, take the baffle out and it's plenty loud enough . Hth

i have the carbon akrapovic can and with the baffle out its loud enough sounds mega when you blip the throttle on the down shift, also had a bit of a quick run home today and my ears where ringing when i got home.
I found it louder, but in a good way.....I've run standard, taylormade, scorpion, and akra, all on the 08+, and IMHO the akra rules.
Thats the thing - its all personal preference. I'm used to Yoshimura (and now LV) and the non race Akra just doesn't do it for me. If you look at other threads you will see exactly the same comments from both sides - some think it sounds no better than standard, some think it sounds OK. The main thing is that you are happy with it and that is all that counts.
Is that the "with CAT" road legal Akra though? I have had the road legal Akra, R77 and LV GP Pro on the blade and the Akra just doesnt come close to the sound. The race Akra is another story all together.
True. Will see how it is when I get the bike and go from there. I like the look of the LV though a lot more compact. Sure I will change at some point!!!
Either way the Akra is a steal with the sport pack. That is why i bought it. If you dont like just sell it and you wont have lost anything. Everyone is a winner!
I have carbon akra on mine, not the sports pack one, baffle out. I think it sound ok. very happy with it so far.
This help sorry didnt rev it to much its the carbon can, no cat in link pipe baffle out Can do another vid if you need one let me know, it is louder than std even with the baffle in and sounds brilliant with it out imo Just remembered this one

Only difference is the link pipe has a cat in the sports pack one, but it sounds the same added the dyno runs so you can hear it max chat Looks different now with white wheels and rearsets and exhaust cover from leo vince tidys up the exposed link pipe

So do I, steves looks mint on the repsol, if I hadnt had it thrown in on the deal, its the can I would of opted for although always loved akrapovic exhausts
i ran a carbon slip on Akra at Mallory..... and failed the db test ! so stuck baffle in and it just passed and got the sticker..........(then took it out) to pose ! lol
