you know i'm knackered today though - and as ken posted, i had some horror vibes about the old bill being out (not the ones with us) but touch wood, was all good.

to be fair, we only saw them in the 30 / 40 zones really where people were prob taking the p*ss lol

Put the Yoshi Baffle in .Yes i hear the groans but i am going stealth fighter pilot mode ,no really i have over the years worn the tea shirt but yesterday the penny dropped and this is how it goes, i was walking the dog not far from me, fast roads onto roundabouts half housing half business units ect anyhow an R1 came wizzing past quite fast but really quite so i thought fair play ,like the style then 10 mins later i could here the sound of a racing bike on full volume from say half a mile away next thing HRC Blade with blue leather clad pilot on board howling past loads of over the top changing down ect but what was strange was i was not impressed and thought to myself ''that was me only the day before '' and to be honest it looked quite dickish! My runs will now be getting early or late and as i were ear plugs anyway i thought i would tone down the overall concept .So what should be an easy job turned out to be an hour as first of all the £40.00 odd piece did not go in to line up with the bolt hole so i had to file a bit off the side then i tried for about 20mins to thread the bolt into the hole without taking the can off and yes bingo the pissing bolt falls into the gap between the carbon outer and the steel inner (Bugger) or something similar! took off the side panel forced the small retaining springs off (then found there was no need ) Got the bolt out ok and put it back together with super human strenth with bits of wire wrapped around the springs trying to get them suckers back all done .I have not started it up so i dont know the differance only thing i do know is that i am very relaxed about it and one less thing to think about as i go about my quite but productive business.

Hi Si .Not much really i just put the sucker on the floor and used a file (about 1" wide) on the side close to the bolt but it did not need much ,the pissing about was me balloning trying to balance the bolt onto the hex key by stuffing some paper to jam it tight on (Treble fail + fail) so just take the can off and add a bit of thread lock.

Dyno Day for the Blade in Bury today, arrived at 9............left at 12.Originally punting out 153,we got her up to 162 but that was at 90deg which dont help when on average she sits at 80deg.Could,nt get the fueling spot on and keep the bhp so I sacraficed a few gee gee's to get her bang on fueling.Currently banging out 158.34bhp and the fueling below 8000rpm is spot on 13 and a slight rise above that to the redline.Cant hope to get anymore with standard headers and a modded Can.

Sounds good Haggler, it's great when the fuelling is spot on , a couple of bhp is not really noticeable IMO. Where in Bury do you use ? FTR have a place there now I believe but I havent used them.

My secondhand rad arrived today, a few small bashes on the fins but generally looks OK, will find out once it's on and running. Also an inner arrived, which is in vgc, so should be able to make a start soon when all the parts arrive and I get a day off work. Can't wait, bet I have a hassle with getting the fairings back on, it's one of my pet hates, seems to take me ages to get it perfect.

My m8 Paul has taken over MaxMoto's,now called MoreMoto's,young guy with loads of knowledge of setting up Race bikes,he's had the Dyno refurbished aswell as the whole shop.Honda trained at their place just outside the smoke when he worked at Ling's.He knows Darren pretty well at MCT,Stowmarket,he used to help out there so aswell as tunning he can normally get them handling too. He's hoping to get some secondhand bikes in soon to get bums in the door.Aprilia Main agent .Location................near a railway bridge??...........near the Beet factory I think.

Took both of mine out of hibernation today. Been on stands, wheels wrapped in towels and blankets, soft covers underneath weatherproof covers. All ready for doing the service on Friday ready for Sunday.

    Hello long lost friends!! Hehe

Check the balance dot is in line with the valve (norm a yellow or red dot on the tyre) if not this can lead to excess wheel weights required to balance the wheel.

Edit, some tyres have no marks! Last note about tyres is the four digit code for example 03 12 is the date of manufacture so third week of 2012.

My mechanic, Russ, had gone bleedin mental on the bike, its in a million pieces at the moment. He has been telling me it would be ready last night but I looked at it this afternoon and there is no chance it is going to be done. by the weekend.

He is currently havng some blanking plates made up as he has removed the flapper units from the airbox. It is looking good but I still have not ridden a bike this year and I am on the Cadwell Trackday on Esater Monday.

Thinking about it I may have to let the Mrs know that I have got a new bike at some stage this weekend!!

I will post photos up when it is done but I can confirm that the BST wheels are pure carbon porn
