Hi, If anyone has got a Power Commander 5 for '08 onwards Blade to sell, please let me know how much you want for it? I won an auction on ebay for one and the guy took 11 days to get back to me to say he didnt know where he has put it and refunded my money!!!!! Since then, I have fitted a Yoshi R77 and dont want to ride it until I get a Power Commander with the correct map as tickover is a bit lumpy! Need an O2 sensor eliminator too. Thanks Gareth
I thought it would be ok but its a bit lumpy low down. Probably wont hurt to run it like that. I still have the O2 sensor in for now but will use a sensor eliminator when I finally get hold of one!!! I could probably do with a DB killer too! Personally, I love the sound of the Yoshi, but it might be a bit too loud for plod?? Its not as loud as I thought it would be when riding which is good. I thought I might have to start wearing ear plugs.
Didnt know there was a 'road' one. It is not E marked but it does not have 'not for road use' etched on it like the Arrow and Akra cans. They are made in the US so different regulations I guess? Why?
BladeHRC, I've got a brand new genuine dynojet 2008+ O2 Eliminator for sale if your interested? Only looking for what I paid for it....
Thanks ray... how much do you want for it with postage? I've been offered a PCV with O2 sensor eliminator but they want just off new price for it.
Mine is a Carbon and has stamped on it Closed Course Competition Use Only..............i dont believe it has the cat built in the centre section. I do not currently have a PCV for mapping the fuelling and it runs shite with the baffle out but fook me it is bloody loud when you wind it on http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/ps-3670-1316-r-77-stainlesscarbon-slip-on.aspx
ray (Ryan) is hooking me up with an O2 sensor eliminator - thanks mate! Does anyone know if it is ok to connect this up now before I get hold of a Power Commander?
Should be fine mate All the eliminator is really, is a resistor in a standard Honda connector block that tricks the ecu into thinking the lambda sensor is connected.
Im not sure how much difference the eliminator made as it went on about the same time as a new exhaust which was the first time i decatted the blade so loosing the cat made the biggest difference. I only got the eliminator to make the FI light go out. I had big improvements to running and smoothness when i fitted the PCV and the appropriate map
When it is all on and mapped up it will be a different bike. Crack the throttle and it will rip your arms off ha ha
Cant wait to get it all fitted and set up. The last time I experienced power commander gains was to try and cure a GSR600 throttle that was like an on-off switch. Didnt sort that problem as it later transpired there was a design flaw with the injector system... It did transform the bike in all other areas though, making it smoother and more predictable.... Photos of my bike are coming soon as I've nearly finished fiddling (for now!)
