Doing some maintenance on the bike today, took her of the paddock stand, helped by the missis and yep youve guessed it over she went:mad:
Bless the wife tho, she reacted quicker than me and managed to catch the bike before it hit the deck with her knee but she has hurt herself, back mainly and a sore knee.
Checked the bike over and she's ok, couple of scratches!
Thankfully. And more important the wife seems to be ok now.
First time that's ever happened to me and I swear time stood still while it started to fall, all In Glorious technicolour fuc* ing motion!

Oops thats not good and i'd have to agree it's not a good feeling as it slowly gets away from you.
It sounds like your pride and joy plus the boss got off fairly lightly tho.

When this happened to me many years ago, my ZXR750 went down on a carpeted garage floor and luckily I had most of the plastics off at the time.

    Hope the misses is OK.

I once had my then new, well 3 week old GSXR on a paddock stand parked next to my wife's new CBR125. Turned round to get a drink from the kitchen and out the corner of my eye I could see the GSXR falling, right onto the CBR both crashing to the ground ! Fek. £800 quid damage to the GSXR and hardly a scratch on the CBR !

Still see it happening in slow mo now, I've since bought an Abba stand.

I try to lay small children on either side of the bike when mounting and de mounting the bike from the paddock stand. They're self repairing, you can employ them for sweets and easy to con into doing it.

    Viz top tip there fellas.

She knows she will get everything she wants now.....for a bit anyways ;)
Although I think she might be playing the wounded soldier a bit too much FFS. I've sent her into the kitchen to make tea, after all normal service has to be maintained :D
Thankfully the new rearsets were not fitted, they were the next job, only just stopped shaking!

Seriously tho, a split second longer and all the right hand side would have been properly fewked!
    The missis is a diamond!

Careful Bats. They go a bit funny if you spoil them too much.

Sorry to hear about the two loves of your life getting injured mate.
Silliest thing i ever did was parking my Z750 facing downhill on my drive while i just turned round to close the garage door - needless to say she fell off the side stand......and onto my car!
Dented the front wing and broke the fly screen on the zed.
    I was not best pleased.

I've not read all of the treads but there seems to be too much concern for the wrong love in your life, you have all got your priorities wrong? This is a bike forum!!

Hows the bike, how deep are the scratched will they come out ok, Get her back on the stand as soon as you can, back in the saddle so to speak. Spend the night in the garage with her, just tonight, don't leave her on her own with the thoughts going around in her ecu. Bring the duvet down and keep her worm, the wife wont need it if she's in A&E, and I hope you gave her the taxi fair home, the Blade can't be left alone.

ONLY JOKING LOL (The Blade won't need the duvet)
