Without sounding stupid, what's the difference between them and normal brake lines? I'm being idol and can't be bothered researching them.
Braided lines, if i'm not mistaken, don't swell with fluid like standard rubber lines which can contribute to a spongy feel at the lever. It's a great mod, and one that should be done if you care about such things. They firm up the brake feel and hence help with stopping power.
the older the bike gets the worse the standard rubber lines will perform as they get weaker. the braided lines will not degrade and last throughout the bikes lifetime
Manufactures guidelines state rubber lines should be change after three years. Hel, goodridge last for years as you say.
thanks for the info guys, ive had bikes for past four years but never really done any mods till now, trying to find out whats best to spend money on as i can only afford to do bits at a time.
fair one. i was just looking at getting a PCV and bike dyno'd as fuel consumption seems to have changed quite epically after fitting my new exhaust. i think brake lines after that.
like i said i still got the lines if you want them hel black with gold ends !! ps im well known to sell stuff cheap so dont have to get a bank loan lol
