Near all slippers have some feedback through the lever, ball and ramp clutches for example work by forcing a ball up a ramp as the clutch spins backwards, the ball pushes the clutch pack apart thus letting it slip, the click is the ball being released back into its cavity until the clutch spins backwards again forcing the ball back up the ramp and so on..
Mine too, took my '10 plate Black & Gold back to the Honda dealership shortly after collection, they confirmed that this was normal!! Also got used to it now.
Whilst on the subject on the 2011 which may be the same as others .How many threads can you see visable from the large round silver adjuster knob as i can't work out if its due to fall out of the lever?
well had my 4k service today and asked them to have alook at the clutch, just rode 20 miles and didnt do it once smooth as now , its been adjusted correctly so they told me, the adjuster on the clutch lever before i had service was about 4 threads out now theres none showing it feels so much smoother and no tight spot like pulling a knot through a hole woooo hooooo well done J Banks Honda
But have they fixed or just temporarily hidden the problem with the adjustment. Be interesting to see.
Is that John Banks at Bury St Edmunds ? That's where I got mine. I'll mention it next time I'm in but I must say this bike seems better that the other one I had.
he said nothing to fix it was to slack so he said everything felt smoother gear changes and clutch lever.
yep thats the one, the guy who had the bike before me liked to fiddle so dont no if he adjusted the clutch or slackened it off etc but happy now, just wish the salesman hadnt sown a seed in my brain about the 2012 model at £92 amonth lol lol
