Well I went to Cadwell on Monday and after one session (which was scarey and fun at the same time) rode home.
It was bloody wet, probably the first time I have riden the blade in that much water......so i got home, parked it up and went inside.

went out to the garage a couple of hours later to find a burning smell....hunted around the garage trying to find the cause when smoke started coming out of the rear cowel.....quickly took the seat off (whilst the alarm was constantly going off) took out the main fuse and the alarm went off.

I took the alarm fuse out, and put the main one back, bike starts etc but alarm is fooked.

Alarm is under 3 years old (just - 1 month left) but I havent regestered it in my name since buying the bike, so I think I have crapped out there.

anyone had any experience with this? Is it a new alarm job? (think it was water in the alarm, but surely they are sealed?)

I wont say what I think of them as too rude, they offer very little anti theft and are as you know prone to fail when you need your bike most! Trace the black wires back find the colours they intercept and rejoin the OEM loom as it was job done!

Funny thing is I've never fitted one.....removed loads! And even more odd look what Im on today....lol

Mate they wont give you a bean!!!! I would be shocked if it does.... Mind you I bet it puts it up!!!! But then when you fit one it does not put it down.. Thats coz they are a bunch of **************************************************************************************ers!!!!! hate them daylight rip off *************************************!s You know what they don't give any money off when you have alarm, tracker, cctv, almax, big dog, m16, Bennelli semi auto 12ga, 22-250 rifel, 5,000 rounds of ammo ;) nofink!!!!! Not a penny! All they want is your money....

As you may be able to tell I dont like them!....lol

Think ill go with a biketrack or something similar, then if it does get knicked I might have a chance of getting it back :)

But would you want it back after some scrote has potentially thrashed the fek out of it or started to strip it for parts. Often an argument used when Trakker is being discussed, just to play devils advocate.

Know what you mean, but then I have customers with more value bolted onto the bike than the bike is worth and some of them are big mothers too, I'd love some scum to meet one of the owners who trust me would love just to kick the crap out of them as well as get the bits back.. :)
