You have to see the bike in "real", it's much better looking than on the pictures including the Rizoma indicators. I am going to get some other stuff fitted like Accossato teflon ( Teflon coating of the slide tube ) cnc quick action throttle, Gilles chain adjuster ( which didn't arrive yet ) and the CarbonForBikes solid lubrication system ( I give it a try if it's works ).
I have a intergrated unit, don't know who makes it tbh as bought from here. My mates got the Motodynamic smoked unit, looks and works the nuts. Only thing is that three flash thing is anoying when following him on a group ride, we all thought he had a lose connection.
I got the Motodynamic smoked unit as well and I love it. In my opinion, the quality is excellent. My first integrated unit came from Moorespeedracing and it was a peace of junk. Acumen built something like "Pulsar Brake-Light Modulator", but I think this unit flashes to many times, so probably your mate brakes to much ( Haaaaa ). There is another unit which comes from the states as well which flashes even more. I am thinking about safety and all of the car-drives who ignore motorbikes, so 3 flashes are OK with me. If you still have your RR4 you need this one 2003 2004 2005 2006 Honda CBR 600RR 2007 1000RR LED Tail Light Integrated Clear Motodynamic.com My arrived today and I also ordered one for another forum member and he has a RR6 sothe same light you wil need. Looks very nice sitting here in its box awaiting collection.
Its the same for the 03-06 Blade. So thats the correct link. Both I ordered were out of stock one day and in stock the next. Check daily wont be long before its avalible!
I think I'll be ordering a smoked one for my RR4, I had a similar one on my GSXR600k4 and that look the mutts nuts, they just help the back end look clean and fresh.
Got an MOT update through from VOSA today regarding these integrated lights. They can fail the MOT depending upon how clued-up or not the tester is but VOSA have said they are not legal. FYI
When using the integrated tail light this obviously gets rid of external indicators (as they are built in). What do you guys then do with regards to mounting your reg plate? I say this with a view to having a under tail yoshi exhaust on a RR5 blade. With an integrated tail light. Do you just use a normal tail tidy and simply not put indicators on it? Or is there such a bracket that can clamp round the exhaust with a small drp down for the reg plate? I can't find one anywhere.
I see. So you use the evotech tail tidy for the use of mounting and illuminating the reg plate with no indicators mounted? Does it look ok with no indicators mounted? Gaping holes on each side?
Here you go mate, Post #8 http://1000rr.co.uk/maintenance/4416.htm p.s. I added the reflectors myself, as that is another legal requirement for the MOT.
Why ? it blinks 3 times then stays lit with a solid red light in accordance with MOT regulations As does the new Mercedes C class ''During heavy braking from a vehicle speed greater than 50km/h, the Electronic Stability Program ESP® activates the new “Adaptive Brake Light” safety function, which makes the brake lights flash instead of just lighting up continuously. Once the danger has passed and the brake pedal is only held or slightly released by the driver, ESP® deactivates the “Adaptive Brake Light” and the brake lights light up continuously as usual. These flashing brake lights ensure a higher level of attention on the part of following traffic.'' *************************************************************************************************** Looked into this they are illegal MOT failure as follows Method of Inspection:- Check that each stop lamp emits a steady red light (includes additional stop lamps such as high level ones). Reason for rejection:- A stop lamp emits anything other than a steady red light when the service brake is applied. However won't stop me fitting mine, also there is strong evidence from the states that these are reducing rear end accidents and the fact Mercedes and BMW are fitted them as an active alert system seems to make sense to me
