Gotta agree with everyone else, they do look nice. Now I've seen them on your bike Dan, I'm wondering, would the Samco original colour look good on my red/black 07?
Yeah cheers for that mate . I would never of bought them otherwise . The same seller has another set on Ebay now . Same price . Start bidding at 70 and buy now at 99 i think it was getting .
All Bloody day mate !! ha ha . I kept spilling coolant on my hands , trying to pull the black hoses off , slipping and punching the fame . Knuckles are minced now but Worth it in the end
that blue really goes well, if i can find a white set at a decent price i might be tempted but i know i wont be fitting them as you had such a fun day fitting yours
As long as your prepared to be at it for a few hours its doable. I thought it was gone take 1 maybe 2 hours so was unprapared lol . Id sooner put the time in than pay somebody else to do it i reckon
White !, you love it fez lol....urban cam in white grey and black would look mint on your bike matey !!! Its an easy job its just time taken stripping the fairings off, then pipe by pipe its a pain getting the old pipes off (the new ones are easy to slide on) then once there all fitted replacing the coolant is easy and refit the panels Like Dan has said as long as your prepared to take the time to do it its a worthwhile mod
It maybe easy for people who know what there doing but i have the mechanical ability of jeremy clarkson. i know i would end up with more than just 2 hoses left over
Cheapest place I've found that sell Samco hoses are these guys: STP Motorsport Anyone think there would be enough interest for a group buy?
I made my bid on ebay to the same guy but see what I got today: "The seller ended the listing early and cancelled all bids"
At least my RAD STAINLESS STEEL HOSE CLIPS CK-HON-63 are on the way, Haaaaaaa Have to watch ebay now for another opportunity, if there will be any.
Just a note on the hoseclips ,Just had a spin through the Guy Martin column in the Performance Bike Mag ,and i remember reading the thread regarding new Hoseclipes ,Guy mentions that he wanted to use the standard jubilee ones and when he raced for Robinsons ,they used stainless which broke and boiled his engine .
Thanks for the thread! I will use the original full stainless steel Samco hose-clips. If they are going to brake, Samco can pay for it. Fortunately I got to solicitors in my family....... I am not worry about at the moment, because I don't have the samco hoses yet, waiting for a bargain to come...
