Blues not normally my thing but this looks so nice i've just changed my mind! Still not sure i'd have it over the HRC but its close. HONDA CBR CBR1000RRCE
Dare I say it looks a little plain for my taste, blue with a few Samsung stickers, I still prefer the Castrol and TT legends paint jobs over this
I'm not sure it looks plain as such, but I know what you mean, with that samsung being so prominent it does kind of look like your riding around advertising an electronics company (which of course you are!). I've always had this little niggle about race replicas, and as much as I love em, i never quite know whether that initial lust will last.
I agree with you and I love race reps, I don't think it looks rubbish, far from it ! it looks like a quality job well finished. If you look at my last R1 it had Budweiser up the side so I dont mind advertising lol I just think it needs a bit more to break that solid blue even a few white stripes or something as it looks like the tail and side panels have just had a sticker applied rather than the normal color layering etc. Maybe something as simple as a wheel color change would make it a whole lot better in my eyes maybe white or blue like the paintwork
Ditto, if it does not look special on day one, you can guarantee its not going to be a classic like the original Urban Tiger or even the Repsol's. Just too plain.
I've been art working up my design for a new set of fairings based on the same design, this one looks un finished to me. For a start it's still got the ugly rear end, exposed exhaust and also the black wheels don't help unless your running gold ohlins forks or gold discs to help set it off a bit more. Mines obviously based on the Samsung colours but with white wheels, dropped the tank logos and top of rear cowl logos and incorporated a Ducati corse style stripe similar to what you get on the S4R monster in white instead, lost the front number board and left the nose white..... HOWEVER..... I still always find myself looking at the playboy reps and wanting one of those instead (although I'll lose the yellow number board ) I know what you mean though, it's just the big Samsung on the side and not much else and as you lose the big race belly pan it kinda cuts away that big area at the bottom of the bike which holds all the green and sponsership logos (something ive been struggling getting to look right) . To be fair now ive seen this i might go and look in the flesh and if i cant better this version ill bin it and go another route
