Need a fronty on my blade before next Friday - are the pilot's still good or any other recommendations ?

Got a brand new AVON ST on the back but it was on when I bought the bike

I just got Bridgestones BT023's on mine, what a tyre, some like the BT016's. I found out the difference which is the 023's have 3 compounds from hard in the middle to intermediate and then soft on the edge whereas the 016's are intermediate in the middle and then soft hence why they are sport tyres and the 023's sport touring but they last longer. Great feel so far and thats with me scrubbing them in still.

Wish i had gone for the bt023s but am please so far with the pirelli rosso 2s.

Cant see the point in going for a full on sports tyre unless doing a few trackdays as the sports touring tyres are better in the wet/damp and heat up on the road loads quicker than a sports tyre and last 3000 miles longer.

I'm a pilot man myself. Had pilot sports on my last bike that lasted forever with enough grip for some respectable lap times on a trackday - loved them but they were hard. Had trouble finding them this time so have gone for pilot power, single compound (£155 pair) which are going on tomorow but seem super soft in comparison. Just looking forward to getting the BT016's off - not a big fan
