Unfortunately not dude, had to cancel last week as I didn't have a bike and didn't want to pay full price! Plus I can't afford to launch this in the gravel and have two wounded bikes... No t/d till the blade is converted
I have to say the handling on the R1 was a big plus for me, could really chuck it around. Quite surprised with your comment on the brakes though as the R1 calipers are what a lot of the gixer lads use as an upgrade to the standard calipers, certainly for k6/7. Maybe you will find them a bit better in the dry when you are more used to the bike. Have you joined www.yamahar1.co.uk yet?
I love the handling of them, my pals one is lovely... It was dinging down and the bike hadn't been used much in a year.... So hopefully they will come back to life with some use and finer weather! Lol Another forum, jeez no, my mrs thinks I like you lot more than her as it is (no comment) and more chat time would mean certain divorce. Hmmm
Just got back on line after internet being down for a few days, so just read your good news Jimbo, knew it wouldn't be long. I reckon you've done well there mate, and now have the best of both worlds in a sense. Had three R1s over the years, (wrote one off sadly) but fantastic bike. Lovin' the colours of that one, and the spec!!!! Enjoy it bud. JD
cheers dude, but it does mean i will be like the annoying beatle on the top gear challenges making sure the hondas make it to Le T!! still intending on coming, so if no one else minds, could be a good time to open to all comers?
That's nice is that I love the last pic, the older R1's are nicer than the new one! Can't believe it's don't 24k
i know benn, it's been well looked after, and when i get the cash together for a new latest and greatest, it can be parked up and used on occasion....
Nice one Jimbo, not a great fan of the R1 myself but sure it’s an awesome ride and you will enjoy it.
