Anyone got a phone on 3 Got my new iPhone 4s delivered today and I'm already experiencing problems with coverage. In town today no service at all. At home only 1 or 2 bars. Have I been sucked in as I wanted the unlimited data but if you can't bloody use it due to a rubbish network then what's the point!! Hmmm we shall see What's your opinions!
my iPads on 3 and IMO its crap! I phoned them up and they said no prob big upgrade in two weeks time, so two weeks later still no signal called again and they said oh no there is no upgrade who told you that.... total piss take IMO now converted to PAYG on three but I plan to chuck it ASAP! I only live three miles from a transmitter but they said thats no good... make me laugh I may as well walk over to it and plug it in, how close do you have to be...lol I mean Imknow UHF is querky but when I used to be on 934 years ago you could talk 20 miles no problem on 1w!
You're one of the lucky ones! if you have the chance get out now while you can! Had a contract with them a couple of years ago and coverage wasn't too much of a problem when starting to make the call but halfway through I would lose the connection. When I complained they said it was a problem with the handset but when I lost the said handset and replaced it with another I had exactly the same problem. Finished up buying myself out of the contract
It was gutted for me as that's why I got the 3/4g iPad and 3 offer a good mobile package on paper just a shame the coverage is naff! On he other hand I am with t mobile on the HTC sensation and it rips most of the time on the net..
I am on 3 and have been for a few years, no real issues tbh, in my old house had to leave the phone in the kitchen downstairs to get a signal, upstairs was fine. Anyone using giff gaff network? When my contract with 3 expires I am thinking of buying an iPhone and going to giff gaff.
Found vodafone very good for coverage in all areas I've been the last 2 years compared to Orange who I was with before I got my current phone
I have an iPhone 4 s on O2 and I experienced the same problems when I'm out, my wife has a Samsung on the same network and she has no problems, I feel the same, what's the point, I borrow hers when we are out! So it may not be the network it's the phone ?
Oh yes, my iPhone doesn't link up to me car as well as my old Sony e did, and yet apple say its the car, BMW just laugh and say its the phone and given my experience I would agree with BMW!
I left 3 because they and there coverage where garbage ! now with Vodaphone and I can actually talk to people
