I know questions on what types of exhausts are littering this forum and others but I have a question not often asked im sure.

What is the quietest after-market exhaust out there? I like the look of the standard one and with and without the flapper connected its fine noise wise. (would prefer with flapper shut). Would be great to save some weight and free up the gas flow, also the paint is coming off in places and its got heat marks on it. These piss me off.

So toying with the idea of a new one. Would also be great to shed some weight and maybe free up the flow.

I like the competition arrow titanium traingle (guess this will be megga load) ones. Akrapovic also nice.

I dont want any that will piss me off on idle/light throttle.

I have the akrapovic exhaust, and with the baffle in it sounds just slightly louder than standard when sitting at idle and when giving it a little rev. I can't comment on how it sounds on full chat with it in though as I haven't had the baffle in when out a run.

Cheers colin. If it makes a wicked sound when getting blasted then great stuff. Just idle and town ridding I like something subtle. The Yohi r77 titanium with carbon end also looks really nice.

If it's just so that it's quite when at idle and town riding, then I can defo recommend the akro.

I see there is an Akrapovic NOT ROAD legal (with baffle) and a road legal with CAT.

What have you guys got? I would prefer no cat TBH.

If you wanna save some money and you like the original. When I get chance, I will be removing the cat, excess weight and restrictions from a standard can. You can fit it to your bike and try it with and without the flapper. It will be considerably lighter, have better flow and if it's too noisy I can insert a removable baffle. Just gotta be a little patient???

Yeh i like the sound of that. I like the shape of the original, fits the bike well. The only thing would be the crappy black paint. I guess that would be blasted off and recovered with something more substantial.

Yeh very true. The allure of the fancy shiney akrapovics are tempting me.

Can a in-fill panel be fitted on all? I guess so with abit of modification.
